Third Thursday is a meetup that occures every third Thursday of the month for Bay Area PR and marketing folks interested in sharing and learning about the practical applications of social media in business. It's co-produced by the Social Media Club and the Society for New Communications Research (SNCR).
Third Thursday meetups typically include guest speakers who talk for about 20-30 mins with the group about different social media technologies and trends -- and how these things apply to PR and marketing programs. We really try to encourage group discussion and learning, and we do this by keeping our meetups very casual and open, but focused too so that our members walk away with new insights and actionable ideas for their businesses.
Third Thursday is also an opportunity to simply network with industry peers, to share knowledge, experiences and perhaps a few drinks too. So, if you're working in the SF Bay Area and could benefit from some healthy discussion about new media marketing and communications, please join us for Third Thursday.
